EMILY RICHTER

Soprano Emily Richter is a 2024 Grand Finals Winner of The Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominique Laffont Competition. She is currently a  returning Resident Artist at Pittsburgh Opera for the 2023-2024 season. Other exciting things this season include joining the Ryan Opera Center at the Lyric Opera of Chicago and making her Seattle Symphony debut.  A versatile performer, Emily thrives on singing diverse repertoire in opera, chamber, and new music worlds. Originally from Arlington, Virginia, and growing up all over the world from Zimbabwe to London, Emily brings a unique perspective to her singing.  ​
